Saturday mornings may equal hitting the snooze for some but not for The Smiths. Saturdays are our busiest time of the week. We always start it off right with a walk to Old Town Bagel on Owatonna’s Historic Square. Favorites about this joint: Hawaiian Hazelnut coffee, The Elvis Bagel and of course Mrs. Brenda, who usually greets us!

Wes and I had been making lots of talk of taking a road trip to the Black Hills, the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and of course Wyoming. This past weekend after all that chatter, we did!  After Backpacking 25 miles, roundtrip, we spotted those 4 stone cold Heroes through the hills on our trail. We even got in for free since we didn’t need to park. Wes shot this of me and my pack as we were entering to get a closer look.

This July I had the pleasure to go on a Family plus Best Friend Vacation, in Seaside, Florida. Here is Rachel pausing for a quick photo with the Welcome sign. The sign includes the Cats and Dog population as well. Very considerate of them!
